Super Paper Mario: The Portal of Diversity

When one brick falls, the next one goes
And when all the pieces are to match
Put rightfully in their spots
In the tree of Olden Crown
The tips shall shine atop the leaves
Of every point on the crown
And when all tips glisten with lights
The portal shall open to all those willing
The portal is what keeps the world one
The portal makes everyone come together
For without the portal, we are separated
The world is broken to float in space
Eventually they'll all wither and die
And all our life shall cease to exist
We'll be just a story in time
For life on any other planet in space...

This is a game I came up with. If I can, I'll make it an RP.

Prologue:
"Ah! Hold on!"
"No! I can't! My grip...it's loosening!"
"I'm not ready to lose you yet!"
"I don't want to either...but you might..."
"No! Don't!"
"I have to. I'm sorry."
"No...don't!"
"Goodbye...Chan..."
"Noooooo!!!!!! Niki!"

"Bro, what should we do today?" Luigi asks.
Mario shrugs.
"You know, I might have said this before, but bro, I wish something would happen."
Mario nods in agreement.
"Yea. It's true."
Mario nods again, and a desperate knocking is heard. Exclamations appear atop both their heads.
"I'll get it!" Luigi says.
Luigi walks to the door. He looks through the peephole, and an exclamation appears atop his head again. He opens the door in a hurry.
"Toad!" He screams, as he sees Toad lying there, cut up and dirty. "Uh, bro, come here!"
Mario runs over and is surprised. They proceed and pick up Toad, putting him in a bed. The screen turns black. Slowly, eyes open, and vision is regained.
"Mario, Toad's awake!"
Mario rushes over to Toad with a cup of tea and a few cookies.
"Ungh....Mario? ......Luigi? .....Where....am I?"
"You're at our house!" Luigi says. "We found you outside all bruised up. We're helping you!"
"Thanks, you guys always come in handy. But we're going to need a lot more soon."
"Huh?"
"The world...it's in danger!"
Exclamations appear again.
"A strange person...and his partners...they're trying to open the Portal of Diversity, and erase it from existence!"
"The Portal of Diversity? What is that?"
"I'll tell you all about it soon."
The screen fades. And it comes to the three discussing it at a table.
"So, it controls how the world is together? And if it's destroyed, it becomes many asteroids?" Luigi asks, to make sure.
"Correct." Toad confirms.
"That's bad..."
"Surprisingly, it can't be Bowser. I saw him get taken too."
"Taken? Who else got taken?"
"Ugh...I've seen him take Donkey Kong, Wario, Yoshi, Bowser as said, my best friend Johnny, and worst, Princess Peach!"
The brothers gasp.
"That's not good at all!" Luigi exclaims.
A knock is heard, and Luigi gets it.
"Hello?" He asks.
Nothing is heard. Luigi walks outside and closes the door. It turns back to Toad and Mario.
"Who do you think that was?" Toad asks.
Mario shrugs.
"AAAAAH!" Luigi is heard from outside.
"Luigi!" Toad screams.
The two rush to the door, and see Luigi getting kidnapped. The perpetrator is seen as a shadow, running with Luigi.
"Help!!!!" Luigi screams.
The figure opens a portal.
"They can't now." The figure says.
The figure pushes Luigi in the portal, and he follows.
"Luigi!!!!" Toad screams.
The figure appears again behind Toad, and grabs him too.
"AAH! HELP!!!!" Toad screams.
Mario turns around and gasps. Toad is taken away. Mario decides to head to the Mushroom Kingdom. Therefore, it commences.


Tutorial or Prologue Level
So, you're Mario, running to MK. On the way, you'll encounter Goombas, Koopas, Cheep Cheeps, Bob-Ombs, Boos, and Paragoombas. This level is just swift gliding. Just go through with it, and easily, you'll reach MK.

Cutscene: You reach the gates to MK, and it reveals the scenery from Super Mario 64. Walk through this, making sure you hit the two secret blocks with a mushroom and a Fire Flower. You'll enter. When you enter, the castle will be destroyed. It shows a full view of the castle. Mario shakes his head, sad.

"Well, it's not done yet."

Mario looks around, not knowing who the voice is.

"Heh, heh, heh. Not even close."

Mario looks around more. Then, a figure appears behind him. It shows a man in a mask. He has a mustache, a red hat, overalls, and...he looks like Mario! Similar to Mr. L from Super Paper Mario.

"It's me...SCARIO!"

Mario prepares for battle. It's a boss battle. He better ready.

Scario Stats:

HP: 15

Attack: 2

Defense: 1

Attacks:
Hammer
Jump
He can also throw a Bob-Omb out, and it'll explode on contact for 3 damage.
Also, he can appear from behind and scare Mario, stunning him for 1 turn.


Cutscene: After Scario is defeated, he starts whining.
"NYA! HOW'D YOU BEAT ME! IT'S NOT FAIR! NYAAAA!"
He disappears. Mario looks around, but he blacks out. After a few seconds, you hear a voice.
"Mario? Hello?"
Your eyes open, and it reveals a Goomba with a bandage on his face, a bandanna on his head, and a bit of brown hair coming down.
"Mario! You're awake! I'm Goombars, a resident here in Farway Village! I found you knocked out outside the Mushroom Kingdom. We brought you here to be treated."
Mario looks around to see where he is.
"Don't worry! You're safe here."
A Goomba with a pink bandanna runs in, followed by one with with glasses and a cap.
"Goombars!" The pink goomba says.
"Goombashly! What happened?"
"Mother! Father! They're in danger!"
"Oh no! We have to help them!"
"Hurry!" The other says.
"Goombashley, Goombandy! Come on!"
The three exit, and Mario follows.
"Help!" The mother screams.
Both are being taken by a figure similar to Toad, but like Scario, it's masked.
"We can't catch up!" Goombandy says.
Mario talks, and says he'll save them.
"You will?" He asks.
Mario nods.
"Thanks!" All 3 say.
Mario runs, and throws his hammer, hitting the masked Toad in the head.
"OWCH!" He says. "Jerk!"
The toad drops them both. Mario's hammer comes back, and the toad walks over.
"Frightoad doesn't take that! You're going down!"
Mario gets ready, and now, they fight.

Frightoad Stats:

HP: 20

Attack: 3

Defense: 2

Attacks:
Jump, 1 dmg each.
He charges at you, and hits you for 3 damage.
He can trip you for 2 damage, leaving you stunned for 1 turn.
He can jump and headbonk you for 3 damage.

Cutscene: After you beat him, he whines like Scario.
"WHA!!!!! NOT FAIR! JERK!"
He runs away, and the mother and father come up to Mario, as well as the 3 kid goombas.
"Thank you Mario!" Goombars says. "I don't know how we can repay you!"
He thinks for a second, and gets an idea.
"What if I join you on your quest?"
"Goombars!" His father says. "Why would you do that?"
"Your father's right." The mother says. "It's dangerous!"
"But I want to help him! I never get to do anything, being the youngest Goomba. It's not fair."
"Mom..." Goombashley says. "It's his decision. Sure, he's my little brother, but I know he'll be strong."
"Well..." His mother says. "Okay. But be careful!"
"Thanks Mom!" Goombars says. "Mario, I'll help you as best as I can!"
It pops up and says: "Goombars has joined your team! He can give you information on enemies and people!"
"Well, we should get going." Goombars says.
A light encircles you and Goombars. You start to fade.
"AAH!" Goombars screams.
You then disappear. You end up on a beach, with a figure next to you.
"Hello? Helloooo?" It says.
You can see the figure is a Koopa. It has a yellow shell, and a coat.
"Oh good! You're awake! We need to go! Now!"

You appear in a lab, with a Boo there. He has a mustache, and a lab coat.
"Interesting story." He says. "My name is Professor Boo."
"Nice to meet you!" Goombars says.
"This young fellow is my apprentice, Koopley."
"Hi!" Koopley says.
"And by your story, there's only one answer."
A screen turns to a picture of a boy and a girl, holding hands.. Professor Boo talks.
"Long ago, there were two humans, madly in love. Their names were Niko and Chan."
It turns to them by a lake.
"They were engaged, and were very ready to become bonded forever. But a force would stop that."
It turns to a picture of a man in a cloak, long hair, and a scar.
"This man is named Chane, evil twin of Chan. His goal was to open the Portal of Diversity and destroy the earth. Why? No one knew."
It turns to Chan & Niki in a strong wind.
"He spent day after day attempting to open it. One day, he finally did."
It then turns to Chan & Niki hugging in fear, with Chane overhead.
"He opened it, and the world began to fall apart. The couple was scared."
It turns to a similar picture, but with parts breaking away. And Chan & Niki were kissing.
"They didn't know if they could survive. So they offered one last kiss."
Now, the picture shows Chan holding onto Niki's hand from a broken part.
"A part broke under Niki, sending her down. Chan was not ready. He held on, but he got tired. But, Niki couldn't stand the heat. She became weak. She said goodbye to Chan, and let go."
It showed Niki dropping into the center.
"She plummeted to the fiery center, and she was never seen again."
It then showed Chane laughing.
"Chane had done it. He had opened the portal. His wicked plan worked."
It showed Chan crying on the ground.
"Chan was unbelievably sad. But more than sorrow, rage filled his heart."
It showed Chan floating with gems of many shapes.
"His rage created objects called the Gems of Power. He used them to defeat Chane, and seal the portal. Chane was sent to the underworld."
It showed the globe & the gems.
"After that, Chan scattered the gems over the globe. And Chan lived the rest of his life alone."
It turns back to them in the lab.
"Sad story, right? Anyway, I was ready for this. You came at the right time Mario. Chane is trying to open the portal again."
"Oh no!" Goombars screams.
"So, we need you to collect the Power Gems. There are 10, so it might take a bit."
He pulls out a map of much of the world.
"This is not a normal map. It's the Map of Power! It's been passed down for ages, waiting for the great hero to arrive. And you have came. You must take it to the Tree of Olden Crown. It shall reveal the location of the first gem. It's on the other side of the town. Go!"
You exit, and must run to the other side. There, you see a BIG tree. There are 10 holes in them. A star, a triangle, a square, a moon, a sun, a circle, a wind, a fire, a water, a rain drop, and a rock.
"Well, let's do it!" Goombars says.
You go up with the map, and the map rises. Music plays, and you see the map. It appears in a town that's shiny. A tower appears, and atop, reveals a triangle gem. You arrive back at the lab.
"Hmmm..." The professor wonders. "I think this is the Reflective Tower in Dupla Village. There's one way there: the Teleportation Tree! You will probably use it multiple times. It's to the east of here. Hurry!"
You will go, and you'll see a White Pad there. Enter it, and a Chapter 1 heading will appear.

Toad is Mine f its an RP!

Okay fine, but you'll have to wait to play as him. Or you could play as one of his partners. He gets 2 before he gets Toad back. And yes, it's multiple character and partners. The toads are actually partners.

OK then,Ill be all 3 of them.

Nicholas: *comes out with a flame thrower* DUN DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUUUN *schorches everything*

Chapter 1: The Journey Begins
Mirror Plains

You end up in a field made entirely of Chrome. The Mirror Plains! A scroll pops up that says it.

Enemies:
Goomba
Paragoomba
Spiky Goomba
Silver Goomba
S. Paragoomba
S. Spiky Goomba
Koopa Troopa

Navigate through the fields. Shouldn't be too hard. Soon, you'll reach a green door.
"Huh?" Goombars asks. "What's this?"
Enter the door, and you'll be in a cave.

S. Spiky Goomba
Koopa Troopa
Paratroopa
S. Koopa Troopa

This is harder. Navigate around the fire, and the spikes. Reach the end, and exit through the green door. You'll be back out. Same enemies, but Boos are added. When you get close enough, you'll see a big city up ahead. But: Not so fast! Before it, there's a save block and healer. Go ahead.

You'll be at the gate to the village.
"Well," Goombars says. "Let's head in."
"EEEHEEHEEHEEHEE!" A laugh is heard.
You should immediately know who. SCARIO.
"You shall not enter! RAAA!"
He charges.

BOSS: Scario

Power: 3

Defense: 1

Moves:
The usual.

Beat him, and he'll complain again.
"HEEEY! NO FAIR!" He'll scream. "WHAAAAA!"
He flees. Now, you enter.


Dupla Village
The city is shown, a mass of buildings in the first part. There are 3 sections.

Section 1:
Inn
Koopa's house
Another Koopa's house
A toad's house

Section 2:
Mayor's house
A goomba's house
Chrome Stream

Section 3:
Item Shop
A boo's house
A goomba;s house
A Fuzzy's house

You are greeted by the gatekeeper, and he tells you to go to the Mayor's house. But right now, going into the 3rd house, it has a koopa in it, he will give you a free Super Shroom which heals 10 HP. Now go meet teh mayor!
